One of NOAA's older ships the Delaware II was scheduled to undertake new assignments.
It was necessary to add sponsons to get the extra stability. As the ship had been modified many times though its life the Navel Architect needed an accurate hull measurement to accomodate the new design features.
A small boat builder built a fast running 50 Sportfishing boat, using light weight materials resulting in excellent fuel economy and a smooth ride. After some changes to the hull a client approached them about building a larger vessel with the same characteristics.
3D Measure was able to give them an accurate as-built model and lines.

The M-Service was bought by a new company, after looking around for the plans none were found. The vessel was measured in a floating dry dock.
